Depression era novel that is considered by some to be Callaghan's finest novel. Callaghan was a Canadian, working in Paris in the 1920's, friends with Hemingway & Fitzgerald, his memoir, "That Summer In Paris" is not to be missed. We have always liked this series, well printed, inexpensive editions of good books.
